Toga Hotels has confirmed it will open a second hotel near Sydney Airport in late 2015 under the Travelodge brand.
The Travelodge Mascot is being developed by the Andary Group, will be managed by Toga and will be located on King Street, Mascot, about 500 metres from the airport entrance.
The development will consist of a 209-room hotel, 800-space car park and 5100sqm of commercial space, located above the hotel.
“We’re excited to soon add a second airport location to our hotel portfolio, following our recent appointment to manage Travelodge Hobart Airport from October,” said Toga Hotels CEO, Rachel Argaman.
“With airport capacity increasing and the new master plan for Sydney Airport, Travelodge Mascot will offer a convenient and great value option for business and leisure guests.”
The hotel will join the soon-to-open Adina Mascot and Toga Hotels’ announcement comes as Sydney Airport finalises its Master Plan which is due for submission to the Australian Government by the end of this year.
“We’re delighted to work with Toga Hotels on this exciting new development which will provide an alternative, quality hotel right on Mascot’s doorstep,” said Andary Group General Manager, Richard Andary.
Travelodge Mascot will take the number of Travelodge properties to 19 across Australia and New Zealand. Other upcoming Toga Hotels include Adina Apartment Hotel Royal Randwick Racecourse (late-2015) and Vibe Hotel and Conference Centre, Marysville (late-2014).
