China Southern is increasing its presence in Melbourne with its latest Airbus aircraft offering more capacity between Guangzhou and the Victorian capital as well as a return to double daily peak season services.
From October 26, the airline will begin flying its modern A330-300 aircraft with fully flat beds up front and personal seatback screens throughout on the morning and evening services from Melbourne to Guangzhou.
With 275 seats, the new A330-300 can carry more than 100 additional passengers on the busy twice-daily Guangzhou route, which will see the airline lift its weekly capacity by more than 1600 seats over summer.
Melbourne’s new airliners complete a regional upgrade which has seen all Australian ports replaced with new A330s and from October 28, China Southern’s A380 will begin operating between Sydney and Guangzhou and Boeing 787 Dreamliners will service the Auckland route.
