There’s a new Best Western in town and it’s not what it used to be.

After two years of consolidation – where the group removed a significant number of properties from its Australasian portfolio – the company is now aiming at being a more upmarket organization and part of that recently involved the introduction of two new sub-brands, Best Western Premier and Best Western Plus.

Speaking exclusively to HM on camera at the company’s recent convention in Broadbeach, Queensland, Best Western Australasia’s CEO, Rob Anderson, said the hard work has paid off and the mood could not be more positive amongst franchisees.

He said while it was difficult to remove properties from the organization, it had to be done, and the company was now focusing more than ever on brand standards, part of that including the introduction of a new in-house design and fit-out studio.
