Minor Group’s luxury chain Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas, has opened the Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort and Spa.
The resort joins the four existing Anantara properties in Abu Dhabi and a further two will be added to the portfolio in the region by early 2014, including the first property in Qatar, which represents a new country of operation.
“We are very excited to open our first Anantara in Dubai, a key strategic location for the brand,” said Minor Hotel Group CEO Dillip Rajakarier.
“This is the fourth addition to Anantara’s portfolio so far this year, with a further three properties to be added before the end of the year, including in two new countries, Cambodia and Mozambique.
“We are especially excited about our continued expansion in the Middle East region, which is a key area of focus both for Anantara and other brands within Minor Hotel Group,” he said.
Positioned on the eastern crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the new resort is conveniently situated within a 45 minute drive from Dubai International Airport, with a wide range of attractions nearby.
Set amidst lush landscaping and carefully designed to maximise privacy, 293 guest rooms, suites and pool villas are characterised by Asian inspired luxury, tasteful furnishings and views of the lagoons or the Palm.
The resort incorporates a number of Thai touches, inspired by Minor Group’s base in Bangkok.
Floating market-style boats glide across the lagoons serving cocktails and other refreshing beverages, whilst three wheeler tuk-tuks transport guests around the resort.
Infusing local culture, the resort lobby features a Dubai heritage corner, which showcases various indigenous artifacts and replicas of times gone by.
Six restaurants and bars serve a riveting diversity of culinary experiences. Crescendo, the all-day dining restaurant, serves a variety of international cuisine. The Asian themed specialty restaurant, Mekong, takes diners on a mouthwatering journey. The Beach House expresses the rich simplicity of Mediterranean flavours in a breezy shoreline setting. Bushman’s Australian Grill showcases the art of succulent flame grilled delights. Lotus Lounge in the lobby serves afternoon tea by day and cocktails at sunset. The Pool Bar refreshes guests with an enticing beverage and snack menu in shady poolside bliss and at the swim-up bar.
The Anantara Spa offers distinctive pampering, beauty and wellness journeys from 16 luxurious treatment suites. Indulge in the revitalising traditional Thai Massage or sample one of Anantara Spa’s other signature treatments, such as the indigenous Arabian Massage.
Stylish indoor meeting and event venues with flexible layout options, as well as elegant outdoor spaces with magnificent views, cater for the needs of discerning business guests and inspired wedding celebrations.
