Mulpha has denied reports Hayman is being sold to South African billionaire Sol Kerzner.
Reports surfaced in the Australian media yesterday (Aug 27) about Kerzner’s plans to purchase Hayman in Queensland’s Whitsundays that would add another iconic property to his collection that includes the One&Only chain of resorts along with Atlantis The Palm in Dubai.
When contacted by HM yesterday, a spokesperson categorically denied the reports, saying the stories were “false”.
HM understands Mulpha is set to undertake a significant renovation of Hayman over the next 12 months that includes the Lagoon Wing and Beach Pavilion, and more details are expected over the coming weeks.
