Starwood’s Westin Hotels and Resorts is set to roll-out its Tangent small meeting room concept globally after a successful pilot at two properties.

Speaking exclusively on camera to HM at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention in San Diego last week (June 6), Starwood’s Vice President of Brand Management, Bob Jacobs said the Tangent concept, which offers a small meeting room for 4-6 people and costs between $50 and $75 per hour to hire, had proven so popular a decision has been made to roll it out around the world.

He said 50 hotels in North America would be first before it is found in Westin hotels globally.

At this stage, HM understands a date has not been set for Tangent’s debut in Asia-Pacific.
