The Pullman Brisbane King George Square hotel has renamed its best room in the house, formerly known as the Presidential Suite, to the Prince George Suite, in honour of the royal birth.
“Our top-suite’s presidential title seemed a little disconnected to the hotel’s name which already has a monarchical connection to King George V,” said Pullman Brisbane King George Square General Manager Grant Parnell (pictured below with staff opening a bottle of bubbles in Prince George’s honour).
“The arrival of Prince George as the newest member of the royal family [last week] has provided us with the perfect excuse to bestow it with a fresh new title on our favourite suite to commemorate this special occasion in royal style.
“Following the death of King George V in 1936, Brisbane’s King George Square was widened to include the area which had been Albert Street, and renamed in honour of the King… so we are just keeping with the renaming tradition,” he said.
To help continue keep the royal celebration, the hotel is offering any guest that makes a reservation to stay in a room on its Executive Club floor this July and August a complimentary upgrade to experience Pullman’s royal treatment and the regal Prince George Suite for themselves.
“We only have one Prince George Suite available, so obviously it’s a case of first in, first served to take advantage of this offer,” Parnell said.
Pullman’s Executive Club floor rooms include access to the hotel’s newly opened Executive Lounge which offers Club floor guests complimentary breakfast, drinks, canapés and WiFi, and an exclusive area to work, relax and entertain.
Executive Club Floor room rates start from AUD$299 per room per night, while the Prince George Suite is available from AUD$499 per night.
