Renowned hotelier David Perry has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne’s historic hotel, The Windsor.
He re-joins Australia’s most-cherished Grand hotel following a year with international hotel and resort group, Melia Hotels International as General Manager for their 407 room property, Gran Melia Jakarta overseeing a multi-million refurbishment and repositioning of the iconic property
Perry is no stranger to The Windsor where he was instrumental in re-establishing the hotel back to its position of a truly independent property whilst Chief Executive Officer and General Manager from 2006 to 2011.
“I am delighted to return to The Windsor and to find the hotel in such fine shape with the team as focussed on guest service as they ever were,” he said. “As part of our 130th anniversary, we are determined this year to create some of our best history to date by giving guests unforgettable memories here in Australia’s Grand Hotel of the Victorian Age.”
Perry has worked in the USA, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia and has held senior marketing and general management positions in the hotel, tourism and advertising industries.
An established innovator in the industry David has worked with some of the world’s finest hotels and is well known in Australia having spent much of the last 25 years here.
