The head of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, Barry Robinson, has been honoured at this year’s prestigious international timeshare industry awards, at the Global Networking Expo (GNEX) in Beverly Hills, California.
Robinson, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s CEO and Managing Director, claimed the Best Industry Leader title at the 2013 international awards.
According to Wyndham, he was recognised for his “effective, respected and success-driven style of leadership”.
The Wyndham Consumer Finance team also won a second consecutive Best Financial Services Award after claiming the same coveted title last year.
Barry accepted both awards on behalf of the company during a gala ceremony last week at the third annual GNEX event.
“I am very pleased that Wyndham performed so well against such high-calibre international competition. Our victory is a reflection of the company’s commitment to delivering ‘Count On Me!’ service and showing pride in everything we do,” Robinson said.
“I am proud to be leading such an exceptional team of employees and the recognition we are receiving is the result of a combination of strong work and dedication from every area within the company.”
Liam Crawley, Chief Financial Officer of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific said he was ecstatic that his Consumer Finance team was recognised yet again for the innovative approach they have taken to achieve success.
“This is another fantastic effort from the Consumer Finance team and winning for the second year in a row reflects the great work we have done with innovation, leadership and in providing ‘Count On Me!’ service to our WorldMark owners,” he said.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s parent company in the USA, Wyndham Vacation Ownership, also received two of the prestigious international accolades including the Learning and Development team in the Best Project Team category and Marketing Manager, Kelvin Smith in the Best Individual Marketing Individual category.
The awards recognise industry professionals and companies in the international vacation ownership industry and are judged by a panel of judges as well as industry peers.
GNEX attracted 200 of the most innovative and entrepreneurial vacation ownership industry leaders to Beverly Hills where they shared ideas and debated key issues for the year ahead.
