The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH), owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, has partnered with Intouch Data Pty Ltd (ITD) for their supply of HotelSnapshot, ITD’s business intelligence application.
Currently being implemented at The Peninsula Hong Kong, HotelSnapshot (HSS) is planned to be rolled-out across all other eight Peninsula hotels later this year and the number will then increase to ten with the incorporation of The Peninsula Paris when it opens.
“HotelSnapshot will greatly improve the information flow for Peninsula Hotels internally and streamline our own analysis and reporting,” said HSH’s General Manager of Information Technology, Shane Izaks.
“Business intelligence needs to be delivered in a dynamic environment and be both timely and purposeful allowing for swift actions and or strategic modifications. I believe HSS meets these criteria.”
HotelSnapshot is supplied as software as a service (SAS) and enables individual users to access any metric that can be drawn from the hotel’s property management system, with a minimum of one year’s historical data through to the very last reservation on the hotel horizon.
Users can design their own dashboards, reports and have access to cube-type analysis to perform the most complex data mining options, all with the simplicity of ‘drag and drop’.
HotelSnapshot also links central reservation, point of sale, spa and sales and catering data to provide a unique user-interface with access to unlimited data, based on an end-user or role needs.
Brisbane-based ITD’s Managing Director, Peter Johnson, said the agreement with Peninsula Hotels underpins the company’s ongoing expansion.
“ITD is very proud to be partnering with The Peninsula Hotels who is a long-time innovator within the luxury accommodation sector, and also one of the industry’s most iconic brands,” he said.
Since its inception in 2010, ITD now has HotelSnapshot in almost 150 hotels globally with brands headquartered in Asia and the Pacific.
