Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ first Traders hotel in Australia, Traders Hotel Brisbane, has launched a ‘Stay Connected’ package, which gives guests a one-night stay experience in one of the hotel’s recently renovated rooms and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, for just the retail price of the tablet, AUD$459.
Upon checking in, guests will be presented with a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 16GB WiFi enabled tablet when the special package is booked before December 31, 2012.
The hotel offers in-house guests free Wi-Fi and wired internet access in all of its guestrooms and public areas, which will make surfing the internet, making voice and video calls, playing flash games and videos on the new Galaxy Tab even more enjoyable.
The free Internet service is part of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ group-wide initiative, launched in 2009, that now covers all 75 of the group’s Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders hotels and resorts.
“Getting Internet access while on the road is no longer a rarefied luxury,” said, Traders Hotel Brisbane General Manager, Bruno Cristol. “We understand that travellers, whether business or leisure, need to be connected.
“As part of the standard service by our international hotel group, each of our guests will enjoy free WiFi connectivity when they stay with us.”
Cristol said the Samsung tablet giveaway was one of a number of ‘Stay Connected’ packages to be presented in the coming months.
He said partnerships “with technology giants gives Traders Hotel, Brisbane an opportunity to design packages to let guests enjoy some of the most innovative and advanced technological experiences available in the industry at a special rate”.
Cristol said by introducing the package, it also “demonstrates the hotel’s commitment to providing its guests unparalleled connectivity within the hotel”.
