Novotel has arrived in Parramatta following the rebranding of The Sebel Parramatta in the wake of the Mirvac hotel portfolio acquisition by Accor.
As well as the rebrand to Novotel Sydney Parramatta, the hotel will also undergo a refurbishment of its guestrooms which will see half of the 194-room hotel updated by the end of October 2012, with the remainder to be completed by May 2013.
As part of the refurbishment, all of the bathrooms at Novotel Sydney Parramatta will receive a complete makeover, with rich, red splashbacks a feature while everything from the showers, vanities and mirrors will be replaced.
Soft furnishings in the rooms will be updated along with the carpets while the colour scheme features reds, browns and creams.
General Manager of Novotel Sydney Parramatta, Zac Hope, said the rebrand to Novotel and the refurbishment marks an exciting time for the hotel which is a beacon for business and leisure travellers.
“The hotel has always been popular with the corporate market and it is a key conferencing and event hotel for many businesses in the area,” Hope said. “As well as this, particularly when big sporting matches are on, the hotel is packed with people in town for the weekend, so the refurbishment will make a big difference to our guests and we’re excited to see the transformation.
“The values the Novotel brand encompasses relating to family, healthy eating and professional meetings tie in superbly with our hotel and what we deliver to our guests.
“With Novotel being a globally recognised brand, the benefits this will bring to our hotel is very encouraging, and we’re very pleased to also be joining the Le Club Accor hotels and Accor Advantage Plus loyalty programs.”
As part of the hotel rebranding to Novotel, in partnership with Apple, two Mac computers will be installed in the hotel’s lobby and will have free internet access.
With Novotel’s focus on healthy living, guests of Novotel Sydney Parramatta will now have access to a dedicated yoga channel and yoga matts will be available at reception. There will also be organic menu items on the breakfast menu.
