Hawaiian Airlines is launching flights to Brisbane

 By JAMES WILKINSON

Hawaiian Airlines is set to commence flights between Honolulu and Brisbane in a huge boost to inbound travel.

Thrice weekly flights commence on the route on November 28, 2012 and the move will mean Hawaiian will become the only United States airline to offer services to the Queensland capital.

“Australians love Hawaii, and our decision to introduce three flights per week from Brisbane to Honolulu reflects the strength of the Queensland market,” said Hawaiian Airlines President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Dunkerley.

“The new flights will build on the success of our existing service between Honolulu and Sydney and strengthen our offerings as the leading airline between Australia and Hawaii,” he said.

The announcement comes just two months after the commencement of Airbus A330s on the Honolulu-Sydney route and the Brisbane flights will add an additional 40,000 seats annually between Australia and Hawaii.
