Strategic Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer, Damien Vasta, says the carrier’s re-branding to Air Australia is a significant move as the airline chases the low-cost market for leisure and conference traffic.
Speaking exclusively to SpiceNews on camera at the airline’s Brisbane Airport headquarters, Vasta says new international flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Honolulu, domestic services between the Queensland and Victorian capitals and the a rebranding to Air Australia is a big change from the former charter airline.
Vasta says the airline has high expectations for the Hawaii flights and believes the re-branding will win over Australian travellers looking for pay-as-you-go tickets that include checked-in luggage and great service.
