Mirvac Hotels and Resorts has embraced social media platforms and unveiled four interactive Facebook pages to the market.
Mirvac’s 5-star Sea Temple Resort and Spa Port Douglas, Quay West Resort and Spa Falls Creek, Quay Grand Suites Sydney and Quay West Resort Magenta Shores’ Facebook pages will focus on key market segments – golf, spa, ski, adventure, bar and restaurants, and Tropical North Queensland.
Designed by Pay Per Click Agency and driven by Mirvac Hotels and Resorts, each of the Facebook pages has special features which deliver key fundamentals – engagement, excitement and incentive.
By ‘liking’ the hotel’s Facebook page, the fan unlocks deals and discounts housed in the ‘Member’s Lounge’. Upon viewing the offer, they are then directed to print out the voucher, bring it into the hotel and redeem the offer. Offers vary from Mii Spa discounts, half-price golf sessions and savings on food and beverage.
Adding to this, Quay West Resort and Spa Falls Creek are promoting a ‘Share and Win’ competition, where people simply post a photo of themselves skiing at Falls Creek, to go into the running to win two-night’s accommodation at the resort.
In order to cut down search time and further customise the Facebook experience, an ‘At Your Service’ menu tab has been built, which provides direct links to key components of the hotel’s website.

As well as the group’s Twitter account, all of Mirvac Hotels and Resorts’ 47 properties are listed on Foursquare and a number of properties are currently promoting check-in specials.
