With a fine reputation for notable cuisine using the freshest local produce already under its chef’s hat, Peppers in the Southern Highlands is raising the bar with an exclusive one-off culinary event of MasterChef standard on June 25.
To be held at the ambient Peppers Craigieburn on-site in Montfort’s Dining Room within the retreat’s beautiful estate grounds at Bowral, the Peppers Southern Highlands MasterChef Degustation Event will bring together three renowned and respected cooks in the style of the MasterChef series, including MasterChef’s own Justine Schofield, who wowed the critics as a top-four contestant in the first series of the smash hit Network Ten cooking series.
Justine will be joined by Peppers Manor House Chef Francois Razavet and Peppers Craigieburn Chef Warrick Brook, combining their passion for delectable flavours with only the finest ingredients locally sourced to deliver five courses designed to take guests direct to foodie heaven.
Coupled with award-winning wines to match from the Southern Highlands region, diners will share a slice of food knowledge with each cook also taking the time to divulge the secrets of their cooking style and the produce they chose for each dish.
The event will run from 7pm on Saturday, June 25, and costs $135 per person including wines, with bookings essential.
Guests can fully savour this sensational culinary opportunity by taking advantage of a Peppers accommodation package devised for dinner guests on this very special weekend.
From $850 per couple, enjoy the MasterChef Degustation Event as well as experiencing two nights of stylish accommodation at the charming Peppers Craigieburn retreat with an indulgent full buffet breakfast in Montfort’s Dining Room both mornings.
Also, when guests enter their Peppers room, they will discover 25 years of tradition at Peppers – the Peppers Bread and Butter Pudding recipe used at Peppers retreats for over a quarter of a century – as well as the dry ingredients and utensils to recreate it in their own kitchen, complete with a coveted MasterChef apron and a copy of the MasterChef Series 2 Cookbook, all tucked into a specially prepared hamper which also contains a local Food Trail map of where to find the best regional produce nearby.
