Just a month after launching its third Sydney-Dubai flight, Emirates has taken the service to daily, meaning the airline now offers a same-day-to-Europe from all four major Australian cities.
The new daily service, launched on Jan 2, gives Sydney passengers the option of arriving in many of Emirates’ 22 European destinations on the same day, allowing them to relax with dinner and a glass of champagne, before enjoying a full night’s rest to help beat jetlag.
Emirates’ weekly capacity in Australia is now 70 flights per week, with an additional 28 flights trans-Tasman.
The airline has also continued to announce new destinations globally, most recently announcing two new European destinations: Amsterdam, commencing on May 1, 2010; and Prague, commencing on July 1, 2010.
The recently announced flights will take Emirates European destinations up to 24, making it even easier to access Europe from Australia.
“We are pleased to now offer the convenience of a same day to Europe option from all four major ports, every day of the week,” said Emirates Vice President Australia, Stephen Pearse.
“The convenient connection times and increased baggage allowance are just some of the reasons why there has never been a better time to travel to Europe.
“As demand continues to increase, Emirates is now perfectly placed to offer the best travel options no matter which Australian city you choose to fly from,” he said.
Passengers are entertained throughout the journey on Emirates’ new Sydney third daily service with Emirates’ multiple award-winning ice (information, communication, entertainment) digital widescreen system with over 1,000 channels of entertainment including TV shows, music playlists and movies.
